June 2007

Wow!! Summer has arrived. We have had a very busy month. The first weekend of the summer we went to Houston to a friend's beautiful wedding! The next week Cody and I celebrated our anniversary in Playa de Carmen, Mexico. We had a great time!! Cody caught a 75 lb Mai Mai fish while deep sea fishing ,that he is so proud of. Unfortunately we did not get it mounted this time. The kids and I then spent the next week in San Antonio visiting my college roommate, Jodie. We had such a good time and stayed very busy! Go Spurs! We then ended the week by traveling to Austin to celebrate Father's day with Cody's dad and grandfather along with many other Bailey's. Then we spent a few days at home and were off again for a family vacation camping in Glen Rose. When I say camping, let me reassure you we did stay in a cabin. =)

As usual the kids are doing many things this summer. Brayden and Brylee are in Gymnastic and Art classes and Brayden has now started soccer. He has games on Saturday. It is truly nice to see him enjoy the same sport that his dad so loved as a child.

May 2007

Finally, I can see the light of another school year almost done. Although I have enjoyed my new position at work it has been a tough year working full-time with 2 young children. I recently found out that I will be teaching part-time next year. Which is an answer to many prayers. As May wrapped up Brayden finished his first year in preschool. He loves school and I am so impressed with everything he has learned. Brylee continues to talk more and more. It is definitely nice to be able to communicate now with both of my kids. The last week of May, our family went to Lubbock and got to visit with many family and friends. My high school best friend, Tennille graduated with her masters in P.A. I am very proud of her. We also saw my grandmother and was able to get a picture of her with her great grandkids. A picture that I will cherish for many years. We also got to spend time with Heather and Sean. Which is always a pleasure.

Life is getting better!! At least a little less stressful. Cindy, Cody's mom is staying with us during the week to help us with the kids. We decided after all the illness that we need to make some changes. It has been great having the extra help around the house. We got to visit with Cousin Bailey and twins Wesley and Walker for Easter. We even got an updated family picture of all the grandkids for The Bailey's.

SPRING BREAK is Here!!
Cousin Sean and Heather came to visit for St. Patrick's Day and for his Birthday. We went to the Dallas Aquarium, which was so busy and crowded. The kids loved looking at all the fish though! Brylee is starting to talk which is very exciting and Brayden enjoys the thought that he is teaching her everything she says.

February 2007

Happy Valentine's Day. February remains uneventful. We continue to struggle with keeping the kids well. It seems that every cold each one gets, that are kind enough to share it with the other. We are eagerly waiting for summer!

January 2007
The 2nd Annual KA New Year's reunion was held in Keller, Texas. Every New Year's we bring in a new year with a few of Cody's fraternity brothers from WT. Cody is in first place by having the most kids. I am not so sure that is a good thing! Seth and Laurie have Reed who is 3 and are expecting their second son. Jeff and Katherine have Carson who is 2 1/2. Benton and his family were unable to join us this year but are making up for it by hosting the 3rd annual New Year's in Amarillo, Texas. Last year, we decided since we all have kids who better to spend the New Year's with...its not like we are getting many invitations now-a-days!!

December 2006
December was a busy time for us. Brayden turned 3 on the 23rd. I think we must have had 5 different Christmas events and 3 different birthday parties for Brayden.
We had a wonderful time spending Christmas in Chicago at Uncle Chris' mansion!! Chris hired a personal chef for the family to help celebrate Brayden's birthday. We got to visit with my Aunt Vicki and Uncle Ron on Christmas Eve. Corey and his family were able to come also. We missed Jamie's family, but hope to see him this summer. On the way home, I am very thankful that we were not the family kicked off the plane for yelling kids. Gege helped us entertain the kids through the several hours of layovers that did not get us home until 2:00am on December 27th.
Welcome to My First Blog!!!
Hope you enjoy the pictures of my family. Brayden and Brylee are getting so big! Time flies by when your having so much fun!
